Where Volunteers do make a difference!

To enhance the quality of life of our residents and enrich the
social life of our facility. Volunteers have found many meaningful
and flexible ways of sharing their knowledge, time, energy and
talents with residents and staff.

Who are our volunteers?

Those unique individuals who are willing to make a commitment
for a minimum of six months, have a genuine interest in seniors,
and who would like to share their talents, skills or abilities.

In what ways are volunteers needed?

		Leisure buddies: To facilitate involvement in a wide variety of leisure and recreational pursuits
		Entertainment: Playing music, movies, etc.
		Escorts: For shopping and medical appointments
		Tuck Shop
		Companionship
		Home-based domestic skills: Sewing, woodworking, etc.

What do volunteers gain here at Inglewood?

By becoming involved in your community you will network,
build friendships, extend career options, while you gain experience.
Helping others while helping yourself brings satisfaction, fun and value. By sharing your hobbies and interests, you play an important role in increasing the quality of life for our senior community members.

We currently have an urgent need for:

		An artist willing to share their experience with seniors for one to two hours per month
		Escorts for residents interested in accessing community resources, i.e. shopping
		Bus drivers with a class 4 license
		Domestic Homebodies with sewing or carpentry skills
