Inglewood Volunteer
Highlights

Diane ClearboutDiane Clearbout, has been a volunteer at Inglewood for eight years. She has been described as a "whirlwind": full of energy, enthusiasm, fun, and a presence that cannot be denied.

Diane started visiting Inglewood when her mother was a resident in the hospital. After her mother died, she stayed on as a volunteer, assisting wherever there was a need. Her volunteers activities expanded when she joined the North Shore Volunteers, and she became a part of a weekly group that organized entertainment for our residents.

Valentines Day DanceDiane, has a real talent for getting into the spirit of an activity. She loves to "dress up" in costumes for all those special events. She wore historical dresses and bonnets during an antique car show. For a Valentine’s Day Dance, she was in red and white with hearts all over. Her Halloween costumes are imaginative. And for our Canada Day Block Party, she was attired, again in red and white, with a maple leaf proudly displayed. You know that she will always put thought and effort into her costume and her volunteer roles.

Throughout the years, she has performed just about every volunteer taskInglewood Christmas Party and role. Some of these were: escorting residents to medical appointments; cashier at the Annual Christmas Bazaar; cooking hamburgers at our Canada Day Party; and assisting the Recreation Staff with every event she can fit into her busy schedule. This lady has done it all!

Canada Day - July 1stDiane has seen many changes in our facility over the years. Staff, residents, programs, and ways of doing things may come and go; but, she has always maintained her ties. She has been such a part of Inglewood’s social life that her photographs could fill an album.

This week, Canada is celebrating National Volunteer Week (April 18th toSt. Patricks Day Dance the 24th). Here at Inglewood, our volunteer services, residents, and staff salute and thank you, Diane, for "enhancing" the quality of our lives.
