Dear Heather, Kathy and all the wonderful staff at
Inglewood: I began writing this letter on March 31, 1997
and became overwhelmed. With the death of my father, Sam Kyle in January and
my grandmother Leila Anderson in March, it overwhelmed us all. But I feel I
must finally and formally thank you all for taking such good care of Leila,
our mother, grandmother and friend. Today would have been her 90th birthday,
so I feel this letter must now be completed. The care that she received at
Inglewood was excellent. We always knew that she was
safe and secure and it was the best place for her, other than being in her
own home. You supported and allowed our family to let Leila die with dignity
and peace and I always felt we were included as part of both her living and
her dying processes. Whenever I came to Inglewood I
always felt taken care of and part of a family. The day my father died I
felt the greatest outpouring of love and concern for me and my family. Kathy
and Bruce and Zenni and everyone wanted to support me when I told
Speedy, as we called Leila, that Sam had died. I remember Speedy saying "he
was such a good guy", and I knew she felt safe enough in
her home to be able to share that with people around her. Heather told me it
is a privilege to help care for all the people at Inglewood, and it was also
a privilege for our family to know all of you who cared for Speedy so
kindly. I do not drive into West Vancouver very much anymore, but when I do
and drive by Inglewood, I blow a kiss and offer a silent prayer of thanks to
you for all your kindness'. Bless you and thank you for taking such good
care of not only Speedy, but our whole family too.
Sincerely yours with warmest regards, Brenda for: Bonnie,

To the staff of Inglewood Manor, I would like to express my
appreciation to all of you for your many kindnesses to my mother, Kathleen
Jones, while she was in your care, especially during the last long months of
her life. Although our family is saddened and will miss her, we feel it is a
great blessing for her to be released at last. Thank
you! Gillian West (her daughter)

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have made
Christmas '97 a very happy one for Alan, Jennifer and myself. Our
Christmas party in the Lounge December 21st for our friends was a huge
success and part of that success was the "over the top help we had from
Dianne and her staff. The Christmas dinner was fabulous too. I appreciate
the love, compassion and understanding that you have given Alan throughout
his stay at Inglewood. It is a great facility. I wish you all prosperity,
health and peace for 1998. Yours sincerely, Elaine F. Fonseca

A NOTE OF THANKS TO ALL THE STAFF AT INGLEWOOD CARE CENTRE: A comment
on the superb care given to our late mother, Nary Huestis, at Inglewood.
This facility was filled with cheerful and tender care and total generosity
of spirit in times that we knew were frequently trying. My sister and I
cannot overstate our appreciation for the many month of patience
demonstrated by Anita, Mimi, Jill, and of course, overall, Heather. There
are many whose names we don't know due to our own forgetful nature but we
want to make sure that all receive our sincere thanks. Inglewood is a
carefully and beautifully run facility to which we will always feel
indebted. Again, many thanks. Yours truly, Joan Huestis Foster
