Inglewood Staff: This letter is to acknowledge the special and thoughtful
way that the staff at Inglewood are providing special care to our mother
Mary Whitehouse. We sincerely thank Barbara Johnson for her effort in
repairing a handmade quilt of Mary's', with a new ribbon binding. We
understand that Barbara goes out of her way to do extra after hours kindness
for other residents without being asked. We are sincerely grateful. We
would also like to acknowledge Cathy Underwood's' sincere interest and
awareness towards all the residents. Thank you again. Stuart & Mary

Dear Mr. Ail: My aunt, Ruth Lindsay, has been a resident at Inglewood
for the past four years, first in the Manor and latterly in the Hospital.
The period of renovation in the Hospital was disrupting -- no doubt about
it, with the noise, the moves, the confusion and the constant changes in the
staff looking after Ruth. But now that all is peaceful and normal again, I
want to tell you how much we appreciate the absolutely beautiful job you
have done. The overall atmosphere is pleasant and un-hospital-like, and
Ruth's room is a delight, with the charming colour scheme, good looking
furniture and lovely drapes, wallpaper and carpeting. The exterior is just
as pleasing, with the sliding doors leading out to very pleasantly
landscaped gardens. I am particularly happy to see the walkway at the back,
which we requested at one of the family meetings. Ruth is more or less
bedridden, but since moving into her new room, she is taking a brighter
interest in life, finds the decor pleasing and loves looking out onto the
garden. Of course, the most important element is the skilled and caring
staff at Inglewood. I can't tell you how much we appreciate their concern
and attention. And now everything is made much nicer by the beautiful
surroundings. Thank you very much! Yours sincerely, Daphne Hales

Dear Inglewood: What a wonderful display was put on to recognize Mr.
Conneth's 100th Birthday. Our Recreation Department must have put a lot of
effort into the project and their caring really shows! I'm sure Mr. Conneth
and his family were quite touched. Marguerite (Inglewood Employee)

Dear Cathy: It has taken me awhile to get to this note. As you know our
family has changed a lot in the past few months. I want to express my deep
and sincere gratitude to you all the wonderful people at Inglewood who cared
for my grandmother, Mrs. Anderson. She felt safe and cared for and she
was greatly loved. Please tell Lazlo that his kindness and especially his
whistling made her smile. May all good blessings come to you all.
Sincerely, Lesly Kyle-Wilson April 1997 |

Compliment via fellow Recreation Therapist from another facility who is a
friend of the Community Food Service Consultant: The Consultant has
stated that Recreation Therapy documentation in resident charts here at
Inglewood is the best she has seen on the North Shore and is very
helpful in reviewing resident profiles / progress. May 1997 |
