Inglewood Care Centre
I want you to know how much I appreciate the fine care you have given my
aunt over the past eight years. You have tactfully dealt with all the many
family problems and always kept my aunt's well being as your main focus.
Inglewood is the finest care home I have ever seen. The word "care"
really means something to both the executive and to the very fine staff you
have recruited. The UBC facility where my aunt is now is very good (my own
mother was there), but it lacks the intimacy and graciousness of Inglewood.
I am so sorry she was moved. Thank you again for caring. Sincerely, Ruth

Hi, I am the administrator of Glenwood Home, a small Continuing Care
facility in Agassiz. Just thought I would let you know how impressed I am
with your web site. And congratulation on you accreditation survey. I will
try to make a point of viewing your facility on one of your tours next
time I am in Vancouver. Sincerely: Ann Marie Leyen, RN Manager,

Thank you all for your wonderful help and for looking after Auntie Elizabeth
Whitley so well. We really appreciate all your kindness and I regret that I
will not be able to participate with her celebration for her 103rd Birthday.
If you would like to buy anything for her and others to enjoy her
celebrations please go ahead (and send the bill which I will settle). I know
Christa will be visiting her and I will speak to her later tonight.
We loved the
Internet caption
- who would believe when she was born that at 103 she would be up-to-date
lady and on the www - quite something. She was one of six children, two
sisters (one was my gran) and three brothers (one brother still alive,
living in Wales, well into his 90s). Her own mother died in her 99th year.
She is one special lady - and I myself have loved my time I have spent
with her. I have told all my friends to go and visit my aunt on your web
site, which they have done. Very interesting and very well put together
information - impressive. I am so pleased that I found Inglewood and
that my aunt is so well looked after, Thank you all once again. Don't
forget I am only an e-mail away. With very best wishes to you all.

Mrs. Trudy Thomas has lived at Inglewood for the past 13 years. She
originally moved here with her husband. She required extra care, and he
found it difficult to provide it for her on his own. She stated "I don't
regret moving here as the accommodations are private and affordable, I'm
happy with the help and there are plenty of activities being provided, if
you choose to get involved. " Trudy regards Inglewood as her home.

Mrs. Minna Hall just moved to Inglewood in the last couple of years. She
agrees there are many things she is thankful for. "I believe you have to
keep involved. With my eyesight being poor, it has made getting involved in
many things difficult, but the talking books provided by the library
service, and CDs too, have saved my life. " Minna was instrumental in the
founding of our WELCOME COMMITTEE a year ago. 1999 |

Dear Susan White-Bona, Volunteer Coordinator I never go to say thank you
for your kindness while I participated in the volunteer program at Inglewood
Care Centre. I appreciated it greatly. I must admit, at first it was a
little bit scary working with the elderly because it was a totally new
environment when I was 15; however, with your support you helped me
adjust. I really respect you because you are really like an angel, trying to
better people's lives. People like you should be getting a million dollar
salaries instead of the basketball players, I think. I learned a lot, and I
will carry this experience with me forever. Thank you!! Luv. Barbara

I attended the Xmas Party for the Lodge Wednesday evening as a guest of
Madeline Breams. I was very impressed with the buffet tables, not only the
presentation but the glamour of food. The evening brought back memories of
another buffet in the Imperial Hotel in Bangkok (1971), a few years back. I
sincerely hope, Madeline, will remember me next Xmas and I may be a guest
in the Lodge in the coming year. Merry Christmas, Ruth Tayler
