Open House Manor To the Inglewood Kitchen, Recreation and all other staff
and Volunteers. The wish to express our thanks to you all for the
wonderful Open House which we attended last Wednesday, December 13th. All
your planning and work made it such a success. The buffet was delicious and
beautifully presented. Your friendly welcome, decorations and musical
entertainment made it an evening to remember for the residents and their
families. Most sincerely, Ron and Marjean Park and Marion Harris

To Inglewood's Team Leaders Just a short note to tell you all how truly
wonderful last evenings festivities were. I received a significant number of
good wishes and accolades from residents, families and other visitors who
were just amazed at what a warm, outstanding evening it was. To all of
you and to all of our wonderful staff, I thank you so very, very much for
providing such a positive atmosphere for our residents. Your hard work and
commitment has not gone unnoticed. As Bruce Harber, the CEO of the North
Shore Health Region told me last night - "... you guys really are the
best!" David Ail Managing Director, Inglewood Care Centre

Dear Friends at Inglewood. My brother and I would like to thank you for
the exceptional care provided for our Mom, Marnie McGill, over the past 2
years. Our journey through these past years have let us to better
understand the path and what is in store with your assistance, we have
learned how to cope better in complex human situations. Live life to the
fullest! The respect, compassion. patience, understanding, love and
support each member of the Inglewood Team extended and lived, will never be
forgotten. We are deeply grateful for ever, kind act and gesture. Your
professionalism is the finest there is and we will recommend Inglewood to
every one in need. Special thanks also for the "Celebration Of Life"
service held on Sunday, September 24th. Although extremely emotional and
difficult, the service was beautiful. Your thoughtfulness, caring and
support mean so much to us, Gratefully yours, Bob McGill, Patti
Graham, Chip McGill and our families. Love All Around. October 2000 |

February 17,
1998 I would like to thank you for the kindness and care that you gave my
mother, Mary Slusarchuk, during the time she lived at Inglewood. I know that
you are kept very busy, with the government cutbacks and all, but you never
wavered from the care you gave mom. My mother often spoke of the kindness,
above and beyond the call of duty, of various staff...... specially
Nathalie, Barbara, Vivian, Tessa...... and many others whose names I can't
recall. Each of you gave my mother the special care and friendship that she
deserved, know who you are and I thank you. I think that the most
comforting thing about mom's passing is knowing that we did the right thing
in having her move to Inglewood, for her last two years were some of the
happiest years she had had in quite some time. You were more than
caregivers to her, you were her friends. She appreciated those friendships
and so do I. She loved the extra time you took to sit and chat with her. She
loved feeling needed and wanted when you "fought" over her to attend your
activity when there were two activities at the same time. Even as her health
failed and she required a little more care, you continued to treat her with
the respect and dignity that she deserved. It takes a very special type of
person to work with the elderly...... each of you is that type, special.
Thank you once again. Sincerely, Shirley Mitchell

Happy New Year and many thanks for sending on the two cards for mum.
And also a grateful thanks for looking after mum over all the years. I
mean this to you and all the gang at Inglewood. Mum loved you all in
spite of her crusade over the meals! I never could convince her otherwise
for the meals I had were just great. I still reach for my tape
recorder on a Monday. That and the weekly Sunday evening phone calls we
all miss. Mum was an exceptional Mum and is missed by everyone who
crossed her path. Thank you all again for all you did for mum.
Sincerely, Anne and Allan January, 1998 |

Thank you for your condolence card for the late Frank Scott. It was a
short stay for Frank, and it made me very happy for the dignity and
peace he deserved. He was a "gentle gentleman". Please let the girls in
extended care know how much I appreciated their kind attention.
Sincerely Louise Scott January 2001 |
