How long does the process take?
Time depends on the level of care required, vacancy rates, and choice of facility and its waiting list. This means an expected wait of anywhere from ten months to two years.

How do I get my name on the waiting list?
The waiting list is controlled through the Long Term Care division of the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority.. Inglewood Care Centre is not permitted to add names to the waiting list. The family may choose the facility and LTC forwards the lists to the facility.

What are the fees for the resident?
Rates for occupancy in a BC Long Term Care Facility are based on an assessment of income. Rates are calculated on a sliding scale. For current rates you may contact Long Term Care (604) 986-7111.

Can we view the facility?
Inglewood organizes pre-arranged weekly tours of the facility. Please contact the receptionist at (604) 922-9394.

What if an emergency arises and my family member needs care immediately?
You may call your Case Manager and a decision may be reached to increase home support or find alternate placement while continuing to await for a vacancy at Inglewood. All emergency placements are handled by the Region.
