A Fond Farewell...

It is with regret that we announce the departure of Karen Holt, our Assistant Director of Care. Karen has decided to leave us to take another position elsewhere. The Inglewood Community would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Karen for her caring, humor and commitment throughout some enormous changes while employed with us.

To give management some time to review the position, review the labor climate, and find a suitable replacement, the position will be replaced on temporary basis for the next four months.
 

Missing Clothing

A number of concerns regarding missing
garments has management perplexed. An investigation into the problem has highlighted the fact that residents are “helping” sort and store clothing (not always in the right rooms).

We are asking families to help sort through clothing during their visits and return items they find that
don’t belong. Care staff will also be sorting on a daily basis. Together we will try to keep the
“lost” items to a
minimum.
 

Congratulations to the Inglewood staff, Sodexho staff and our Community partners for making Accreditation 2005
happen.

As I am writing this article, we are in the final preparations to receive our site visit. During this process some much needed administrative and housekeeping tasks have been addressed, but overall we are feeling generally optimistic about the outcome.
