Worldwide, there will be 150 countries who will celebrate and plan events for their young volunteers. These events highlight the roles young people assume and help to educate the public about the contribution they make to their communities. At Inglewood, we have 37 youth between the ages of 15 and 24 years who volunteer with us. This year, we are thanking them by highlighting their participation in a photo display. National Volunteer Week in Canada will be celebrated April 7th to May 3rd. We have two events planned for our community and resident volunteers: | |
A Volunteer Afternoon Tea on Tuesday, April 15th, and a Volunteer Supper Social on the evening of May 7th. The invitations will be mailed next month. Thanks to all our families and volunteers for contributing to the Inglewood Community! Susan White-Bona Coordinator of Volunteers |

Scatter Rugs… A recent safety inspection was done by our Occupational Health and Safety Team of all the rooms in the facility. The team has highlighted the potential risk for falls that scatter rugs pose to staff and residents. We understand that making the room look and feel as comfortable as possible is very important to you and your family member, but we have a responsibility to ensure everyone’s safety. We recommend that you remove these rugs and help your family member to understand and accept the need to follow safety guidelines. For further information contact Karen Holt or Lisa Feghali. |
